Joanna Plęs
Born 11^th of January 1977, Radymno, Poland.

First started learning violin making in 1992 - 1997 in the Antoni Kenar State School of Arts in Zakopane, Poland. In 2003 graduated Ignacy Jan Paderewski Music Academy in Poznań, also Poland, at the violin making department.

Since 2000 a member of the Polish Violin Makers Union.

The title of her written research for the Master of Arts degree was: "Bartolomeo Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesu - life and work".

Together with her husband Tomasz Linka they lead violin making workshop in Ustrzyki Dolne, south of Poland, since 2002.
